Yuk, no way. They would get sick. The maximum stocking density of Atlantic Salmon in any Tasmanian farm is 15 kg per cubic metre, and most farms choose to stock at a much lower rate than this. An animal would not thrive if swimming around in filth. Nets are kept clean...

Fish poo is 90% water, good luck making mountains out of it. Salmon poo is simply not on your beaches, never will be, nor is there metre high piles of poo under the water. Like any farming operation, if the conditions were polluted then the fish would not thrive....
